| Bespin: Escape (3.0) - File Description |
 |
Description:
Bespin: Escape 3.0 is another touch-up to Jendo07's large Bespin map.
For those of you unfamiliar with past versions, this is essentially a large-scale redux of the SWBF1 map "Bespin: Cloud City." It's mostly a large, open battlefield on the ground, with the requisite Bespin add-ons, like the carbon-freezing chamber. It's a well-put-together map and I was hard-pressed to find any bugs.
To be honest, I was also hard-pressed to find any differences between this version and the last version - that's not to say there weren't any, but because of the amount of stuff this map has (both content-wise and size-wise) make noticing small changes very difficult. In fact, if I had any criticism it would relate to the size of the map - both in-map physical size, which makes it difficult to enjoy the whole battlefield and makes the battle drag on, and amount of content (there are something like seven different modes, which make it tough to appreciate the differences in modes since so many are alike - XL vs. Conquest, 1-flag vs. 2-flag) - both of those could be pared down a bit to make a, in my opinion, more enjoyable experience.
By and large it is safe to assume that if you liked the previous version you should give this a try simply because it is bound to be (even if incrementally) better. If you haven't given the map a try, it's certainly worth trying out.

Jendo07 From: (Cambridge) Joined: May 8th, 2009 Posts: 431 | This is a small update to resolve the issue for anyone who has a problem with seeing a white ground texture. I have basically colored the ground texture slightly, and improved the lighting on the buildings.
