| Capital Down Map Pack - File Description |
 |
Description:
Here's a neat surprise! DarthDaddy has put all 4 of his 'Capital Down' maps into a nice pack, making them much easier to download. And it's only 37MB! Considering the popularity of Darth's Capital Down maps, I'm sure everyone will appreciate this!
I won't give a full review since these are already individually uploaded to the site. So save yourself some time and download this convenient pack right now!

Capital Down Series (Version 1)
Made by Jonathan Witt (a.k.a. "DarthDaddy")
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capital Down 1 - The Story:
Clone Wars – A CIS capital ship has crashed on a desert planet on the Outer Rim. Obiwan and Anakin are leading a detachment to finish the ship off, while Dooku and Grievous are attempting to establish a base at the crash site. This foothold must be crushed!
Galactic Civil War – The Alliance has discovered the wreckage of an abandoned capital ship from the Clone Wars period. What's left of the ship has been turned into a base, but the Empire has discovered its whereabouts. The Empire is determined to trap and destroy any Rebel encountered there!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capital Down 2 - The Story:
Clone Wars – A Republic capital ship has crash landed on a remote planetoid in the outer rim. CIS forces have moved in for the kill, while the Republic survivors are preparing a last ditch defense. The Republic troops must hold out until reinforcements can arrive!
Galactic Civil War – A detachment of Clone rebels has escaped from Kamino in an old, damaged Republic capital ship, but it has crashed on a remote planetoid in the outer rim. Imperial forces have the clones trapped and now brother must once again fight brother!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capital Down 3 - The Story:
Clone Wars – (Optional Mode including CIS versus Alliance)
Galactic Civil War – The Empire has shot down a Mon Calamari cruiser on a remote, mountainous planet in the Outer Rim territories. Darth Vader is leading the 501st in a ground assualt to finish off the rebels before they can evacuate the survivors on transport cruisers. Attack or defend the Mon Calamari Cruiser within and without!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capital Down 4 - The Story:
Clone Wars – (Optional Mode - CIS versus Republic)
Galactic Civil War – The Alliance has won a victory against the Empire in a skirmish over Tatooine. The Alliance Fleet caught a single Star Destroyer off guard in-system and attacked their outnumbered opponent. When the Star Destroyer's shields failed, it made a desperate attempt to reach the planet surface. The mortally wounded Star Destroyer made a crash landing in the desert wastes of Tatooine near a small civilian settlement. The Alliance is landing troops to finish it off before reinforcements can arrive, but they will find that this Star Destroyer still has some sharp teeth!

Installation: First, create a new folder called "addon" in your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData" folder (unless you have already done so). Second, extract the "CD1," "CD2," "CD3," and "CD4" folders from the zip into your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\AddOn" folder. You should be good to go!
Gameplay: Though the unit count is already large, I highly recommend turning up the AI controlled opponents to 32 and upping the conquest reinforcements to 500, in order to produce the kind of fight these maps were designed for.
Updates: I fixed some AI issues on CD1 and CD2 as well as increasing the unit count. CD3 recieved a face-lift including improved cp positioning, added obstacles and cover positions, and slightly better AI. I was able to get most sounds working (90 to 95 percent of them), but for some reason I had to leave out a few to keep it all from crashing. All four maps should provide some stable, but intense action!
Acknowledgments: I would like to thank everyone for the interest in my maps, as well as the feedback and suggestions. Thanks to Gametoast.com for all the help and starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com for posting the files. Thanks also goes to Lucasarts for the materials and to George Lucas for that "galaxy far, far away!"
