Description:
Dark Revolution Power, by xX_Stefan_Xx, is pretty standard for first maps. It features a lot of jumbled and out of place props, the default terrain and sky, and what appears to be the default CP layout.

Each CP seems to have its own theme, and there are a lot of platforms and places to stand on located all around the map and the CPs. The map is way too big and way too bland to really be of any entertainment value. Most of the props do not really fit together well, nor do they exercise any real overarching theme. The terrain uses the stock texture, as does the sky. There are some variances in the terrain, all of which are standard first map fare (meaning there are a lot of sharp changes and nonsensical layouts). Sides are stock as well, and do not really offer anything to the map. I didn't really notice any bugs to speak of, though, so that's a plus.

Overall, this is a pretty standard first map- not a lot of changes, variety, or real entertainment value to speak of. Though I admire the attempts made by the author to create an engaging map, I can't really recommend this one. If you like what you see in the screenshots, feel free to give it a download.

Readme File:
INSTRUCTIONS for installing new maps.

This is a new map. It's made by xX_Stefan_Xx

1. Open the folder

C: / Program Files / LucasArts / Star Wars Battlefront II / GameData

2. Here you create a new folder called - addon

3. In this folder you copied the entire folder into it.

In this case the folder - DRP

4. Now includes the entire folder

5. Start Star Wars Battlefront II and go to "GET STARTED"

There should now have a new map called DRP ...

6. Starts this map with a lot of supplies and AI's
(the map is very large)

This CD is copy protected.
All rights remain with Stefan W.
You have no right to copy this CD or publish it.
It may only be used for private purposes. For public
Demonstrations should require the permission of Stefan W..

u did a really good job on buildings. but u should work on ur terrain. play around with it and see what u can come up with. change a few textures and add some more foliage and trees. you did a very good job on that building. u used parts from stock maps to make a very interesting map Two Thumbs Up! keep up the good work and

If you were trying to put a theme around each CP (like JediKiller said), then you may want to place objects and terrains from that theme around each CP.

For example: One CP area could be Kamino buildings and a network of Kamino-style rooms, and outside could be a small patch of "metal" ground. At another CP, you could have a Naboo theme with some light grass and light brown stone-tiled ground. That area could have Naboo buildings in it.

You could use a different theme for each CP. Even though it probably wouldn't be realistic, it would be a pretty fun map. Then again, you could go in a completely different direction with that map to.

Anyways, this is a pretty good first map and you could definitely improve this map greatly with a certain theme or several distinct themes and a few tweaks. Again, good first map! big grin

First beginnings of a good map are recognizable, but it needs much more. At least another sky and ground texture. And you should place the CPs in another way (couse I know, that Stefan is a german modder, you could read mein deutsches Tutorial lesen, welches das Platzieren von KPs erklärt).
Aber mach weiter, versuch's weiter, mit Erfahrung lernt man. ;-)

Nun... um kein Blatt vor dne Mund zu nehmen, es ist keine sehr gute Map. Türlich, es ist deine erste Map, aber warum die erste Map veröffentlichen? Es bringt niemandem was und der Autor der Map erntet oft frustrierende Kommentare.
Erste Ansätze einer guten Map sind erkennbar, aber es braucht noch viel mehr. Zumindest eine andere Himmel- und Bodentextur. Und du solltest die KPs anders verteilen (da ich weiß, dass Stefan ein deutscher Modder ist, könntest du mein deutsches Tutorial ( http://www.spieletipps.de/pc/star-wars-battlefront-2/tipps/39064/1/ ) lesen, welches das Platzieren von KPs erklärt).
Aber mach weiter, versuch's weiter, mit Erfahrung lernt man. ;-)

Hi thanks to all who downloaded my map.

But times are not as stringent with each of the times his first map published because he wants to get tips, ok. I know the map is all the miles maybe not as good as your but you may have expected even a bit of fairness.
