Description:

This mod by "Dakota_from_SWBF2" is a small side mod that does some stuff with Dark Troopers.

You've got basically two options - overpowered Dark Troopers with the rest of the sides or overpowered Dark Troopers by themselves. It's a pretty standard "super-X-unit" mod, so if you've played one like it you're probably familiar with the concept.

It has instructions for using it with a dedicated server, if you're interested in setting that up. The author appears to be a little confused about what "online-compatible" means, at least in context. The readme will call this an online-compatible mod - it's not. If you hop online with this mod installed, you'll be unable to join any servers. You can host it, as instructed, but it's important to keep in mind that - just like any sides mod - this will overwrite stock sides. You should back them up before you install and be aware of it breaking online compatibility.

	Readme File: ok so second mod (other one never got on filefront i think). anyway this mod sets up darkies with one hit kill pistols, infinate jet fuel, and crazy epicness. there is also a second mode which allows only darkies. for the only darky mode use the mission.lvl file, if u don't want that part then don't put it in the folder. ok so thats discription now GO READ THE INTRUCTIONS!!! instructions: go to the "C:Program filesLucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront IIGameDataDATA_LVL_PCSIDE" folder and replace the files that are there with the modded ones. go to the "C:Program filesLucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront IIGameDataDATA_LVL_PC" folder and replace the mission.lvl there with the modded one. Instrutions(for dedicated): go to the "C:Program filesLucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront II PC Serverdata_LVL_PCSIDE" folder and replace the files that are there with the modded ones. go to the "C:Program filesLucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront II PC Serverdata_LVL_PC" folder and replace the mission.lvl there with the modded one. Backup intructions: put the orginal files in a safe place just incase u don't like the changes. if u want to uninstall just move the modded files out of the SIDE folder and put the original ones back in. *NOTES* I recommend having at least some file based knowledge before attempting. This mod has only been tested on windows XP if u have win7 or vistas take more precaution. This will not work if u are not the host. The darky only mod only works in CTF and Conquest modes. The commando pistol will one hit kill (even in CW mode) Side effects may be but are not limited to: lag, possible crash risk, need to reinstall, sadness, disappointment, Depression... PLEASE REPORT ALL BUGS/GLITCHES/PROBLEMS TO ME!!! ooh, I haven't seen dakota in a while. he did the street battle, right? or something at that time. i forget which. if he's done a mod?

overpowered dark troopers with other units, or just an overpoweed dark trooper? hmmmmm...

i made that beta mod "Mega Weapons Mod" it was my first mod, i didn't know how to skin, model, or make good custom odfs back then. i also didn't have gametoast helping me at the time (GT ROCKS) so i never figured out the ai problem.

anyway this isn't much of a great mod or anything like that it is simply another setting for dedicated server (works somewhat in PC too). i had it on my dedicated and my friends liked it so much that they wanted me to release it so i did and here is about 30 minutes of work

Mav, about having a sides mod not letting you join in online, the v1.3 patch changed sides, and it converted those to online.

That's because it's not a real sides mod. It just changes some textures and models.
