Designated_Days_All_Battle_Crisis_2.0 (2.0) - File Description  

This map, by Icemember, is an update to his earlier map of the same name: All Battle Crisis. This is listed as a 2.0 version, but the changes made to this are really quite minor - some model updates were mentioned (although they weren't anything really obvious), and some changes were mentioned relating to balance and planning, which are hard to discern.

All in all, it plays pretty much like the last version of the map, and it carries with it the same pluses and minuses. It's always nice to see a map like this where the author makes such a concerted effort to add in new models and vehicles, and in that regard the map is significantly above average. However, just as mentioned in the previous review, playing through the map is an exercise in patience - not a lot of progress is made and it feels like you die often. While a stalemate-type scenario may be accurate for this kind of setting, it isn't really fun.

I also noticed some of the same localization/HUD icon issues as last time, as well as some planning hiccups (AI running into buildings/props).

All in all, this is a creative, if a little flawed, map, just as its previous version was. If you liked the previous version, you'll like this one, and if you haven't given it a try, go ahead and give it one.

Believe it or not, I was going to make an improved version, seeing as though I have been on the team for awhile. It was going to consist of major balance changes, so that players had more of a chance to win on the Republic side. Though, I don't mind stalemates, as in my opinion, that keeps it interesting, and leaves the player to coming up with new tactics to advance on the field. While the excessive dying can be annoying, I like it compared to being able to take tons of damage and dominating the field as a lone soldier all the time.

It's a nice change of pace, though my opinion can be seen as a bit biased, considering I am apart of the DD team, but I am talking from a player point of view for what my word is worth. All in all, I love the map. I'll have to take a few things under advisement and talk to Icemember about a few improvements.

Fixing this version up as much as I could see lol. But everytime I looked and thought about it, It seemd done. Thought playing as the militia, felt something was missing. As the Rep, I find I gave them the most attension. I do find it lacking still and easly goes boring fast.

But never the less, in 3.0, I will get the issues mentioned.

There has been many updates to this map. Planning rearranged, models fixed, new models, destructable objects, MG dam lowered, CP's and spawn paths rearranged. Weapon odf adjustments, Weapons with missing skins fixed, terrain changes, BG added, clouds added, Lighting added, Award weapons fix, mgs now can be manned, flak cannons can be manned, more water added, ATHT removed, HAVwA6J improved but collision still needs works, REP Cp's not capturable, Troops increased for both sides, engineer load increased, flora props removed. More, but would follow under the odf chages. Think the hero of the REP might be missing a skin LOL!!

Truly amazing.I got blown away towards the start.So much better than the previous version.The previous version had sentry guns everywhere,and did nearly instant damage.So it was almost impossible to get to another CP without getting in a vehicle.This version placed the turrets up on the hill and they have a low chance of shooting you.I also liked how there was far more combat once you reached the center CPs and the hill.Brilliant job man!

For the rep and repshell, I've never seen such a sick looking clone pack. Can you please make the republic skins into a mod!? Like turn it into your own custom clone legion that other people can use on different maps? They look amazing!
