| Infinite Reinforcements Trainer (0.7) - File Description |
 |
Description:
Like it's described in the readme, this is a BF2 utility that'll allow the user to "freeze" (I believe it actually just adds whatever's depleted, but that's just mincing words) the reinforcement counts in Conquest mode, so that you don't have your games ended by attrition, or for whatever other reason you might choose.
As mentioned by the author, there's a chance your antivirus software may alert you to this program; it has to do with the means by which the program actually lets you input the "freeze" command (explained in the readme). He certifies that so long as it's downloaded from this site, it will be virus-free. Kouen's staff here at Filefront, so it can be assumed fairly safely that you can trust his word on this. I also did a cursory virus scan of the .exe file, and it appears to be fine, but as the author mentions, feel free to scan it yourself.
Give it a try, it might be a nice alternative for those of you who like winning conquest... by actual conquest. And as with anything that's not just a simple plug-and-play map, I would urge you to read the readme.

A note from the author:
Quote: A quick trainer I cobbled together in my spare time that freezes reinforcement counts for both teams in Conquest mode. Figured I'd put it out there for anyone else who might want something like this.
If you guys don't host trainers, then that's cool, I guess. Checked it extensively, it's virus-free, but I'd advise running your own scans anyway, whoever downloads this - just as two heads are better than one, so are two virus scanners.

STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II
=======================
TITLE: Infinite Reinforcements Trainer
AUTHOR: Kouen
EMAIL: kouen{AT}quakewarsfiles{DOT}com
FILENAME: warfare.exe
VERSION: 0.7
FILESIZE: 450kb
RELEASE DATE: March 2008
--------------------------------------------
Installation/Usage Instructions
--------------------------------------------
Simply extract warfare.exe to any location on your hard drive, and run the file. Now, load up
Battlefront II. As soon as Battlefront II has started up, the trainer's functions will become
available for usage. Just Alt+Tab across and click the desired button.
-----------------
Description
-----------------
It's a simple +1 trainer, that allows you to freeze reinforcement counts in the Conquest gametype,
and which comes with a second button to unfreeze them.
Please note that this will affect both teams. I did not set it to isolate the code for any one team,
nor do I have any desire to. I made this trainer mostly for personal use, but decided to make it
pwetty-ish and release it for those who might like to kick back in a server with some friends, and
shoot the hell out of anything that moves without worrying about BF2's score limits. I know I
like to do that sometimes. ;)
This is the Battlefront II v1.0 version. I'll be releasing versions for the various v1.1 patches later;
the reason I haven't done them yet is simple - there are multiple patches and I need to sit down,
reinstall the game and patch to each version when I want to develop a trainer for them. I don't
have time to do that right now, probably will end up doing it over the weekend or early next week.
--------
Bugs
--------
Some virus scanners may report this trainer as a keylogger. This is *half* true. What they're
actually detecting, is H@TKEYS.DLL, which is known as a "hook". Basically, it monitors
battlefrontII.exe and if you press a specific key or combination, then it activates a function
within the trainer.
H@TKEYS.DLL comes in two variants - clean, and infected.
This trainer, if downloaded from http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com, comes with my total
assurances that your virus scanner is just sending out a "false positive".
If you downloaded this from any other site... well, I can't guarantee that it hasn't been modifed
to include the infected variant. Delete your version and download from FileFront Network's
BattlefrontFiles site instead.
Should you have genuine concerns that your scanner is *not* giving out a false positive, email
me ASAP and I'll have the first person I can get hold of lock the download, and look into it.
Other than that, it's working as intended. No, not the Star Wars Galaxies definition of "Working
as intended!", I mean the trainer actually works, it's not totally FUBAR. =P
Side note, though, when run in fullscreen mode Battlefront 2 has a habit of terminating itself if you
Alt+Tab out while on one of the menus. Either play in windowed mode or only Alt+Tab to avoid this
occurence.
----------------
Comments
----------------
It's my first trainer. Ever. I started simple. It looks like crap but it gets the job done.
If anyone wants to add feedback or suggestions for future versions, you know where my email
address is.
However, bear in mind that it's *much* easier for me if I can see some numerical representation of
whatever it is you want the trainer to modify, or if I know all the numbers involved. Otherwise...
well, I make no promises. Battlefront 2 has over 400 memory addresses in use at any one time,
and without a way to isolate the one I'm looking for, it'll be like searching for a needle in a tank of
melted silver goo: possible, but it'll take ages.

For stubbornly refusing to play Battlefront 2 with me, despite my best assurances that there will
be no Jedi in any game hosted by me. I wub j00 too!
- Whoever the hell designed the SWBF2 box art:
For giving me a background to use for the trainer. ;)

Eluvatar From: Joined: October 26th, 2006 Posts: 498 | dosent this break the lua for the game ??
cause this is why we have never had trainers here before you should talk to your admin about it |
Kouen From: Joined: September 14th, 2005 Posts: 1766 | The trainer doesn't actually modify the software itself, so I'm fairly sure it wouldn't be classed as a violation. |
_Riveon_ From: Joined: March 5th, 2008 Posts: 148 | Looks good.
I'd like to see a mod where you can turn cps off and on (simply)...unless there is one, in which case please direct it to me and chastise me for my ignorance. |

"Y'know, it'd probably help if you were RUNNING Battlefront2!"
Dose not matter if i start it before or after BF2 .(i got v1.1 ) anny idea why? |
Mikouen From: (Hull) Joined: July 18th, 2008 Posts: 219 | This version of the trainer will work only with the unpatched game.
You'll have to try the Warfare Trainer v1.0 or v1.0b for patched versions. |
The__Doctor Joined: September 23rd, 2010 Posts: 1 | My virus scanner said that this thing contains a TR/virtl.13744 Trojan, I use Avira by the way just in case you want to cross check. What a pity though. |
Maveritchell (Staff) From: Joined: July 14th, 2007 Posts: 1092 | It's a trusted author; and I downloaded it myself. It's likely a false positive (trainers will often get those from virus scans). |
Dumah11523 From: Joined: May 18th, 2010 Posts: 30 | Wow, this trainer REALLY WORKS!!!.... Damn this is great, I was looking for this kind of mod. So thanks a lot. |
