Here's a mod where all the weapons are super powerful and it is a lot of fun and...

okay, I can't do this. I want to say something nice about this mod, but it's just all the stock weapons with increased damage and ammo, and it crashes a lot. A lot. The author didn't submit any pictures, and part of me wanted to just use pictures of desktops for the screenshots, because that's what you'll be seeing a lot here. The mod has nothing new visually anyway, all the units, weapons, and effects look exactly the same.

I know. I know. The author said to play it online because it "doesn't support AI" or some such nonsense. I checked online, and I couldn't find any servers that said they were hosting the mod. It must just be my luck.

I'll reiterate here what I say every time I see a mod submitted for this old game with poor MP mod support - don't make a mod for MP-only! Most of the time it's just an excuse for not getting the AI bots to do what you want, although in this case it's an issue of crashes because of number of units. Just FYI, if you get too many human players, it will also crash. The AI don't do something special to make it crash.

Make sure to back up your sides before installing; it's not an addon mod, but a side replacement mod.

Readme File:
This is a beta of my mega weapons mod in the future i plan to make it an era by itself.

About: this is my first mod and ha smany problems at first but now it has not as many. It is GCW because CW crashed too much and it is a BETA. i would recommend using big open maps for this mod.

Installation: this is not an era mod...(yet)... so make a backup of C:Program FilesLucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront IIGameDataDATA_LVL_PCSIDE ALL.LVL and IMP.LVL then put the modded ones i made in their place.

Uninstall: You need to uninstall this to play regular GCW so all u do is move the modded files out and replace with the unmodded ones in the backup folder.

Uses: this is a multiplayer only mod and can only be used without ai which I will get to fixing that later because as i said this is only a BETA mod. the weapons are so crazy that you would do better just testing it yourself.

using ai causes a crash after about 5 minutes.
there may be more but i don't know of them so tell me in the comments about it.

when i was testing the mod it crashed with just 1 ai on each team and i couldn't find out why i never even changed the amount of ai.

and this is a beta so i will be comingg out with a crash free one soon. i released this one so that people could test it before the full version came out.

the mines crash for no reason maybe i munged wrong or something but they crash so i'll fix it soon.

i suck at modding it is a wonder i got this even working so idk how to change colors or shapes or anything but basic odf knowledge but next time i make a mod i will read up on it and make a mod better than all others if i learn how to make my idea it will be great i've thought up a great mod map

Okay, I didn't download. From the review. I haven't submitted anything yet, but one thing I've learned is don't submit anything if it doesn't work. wink

ok so if anyone is looking at these posts i make about once a year...

i am making a new mod called: "Ultima-Weapons Mod" now that i figured out how to use gimp and am figuring out stuff about modeling it looks good. i got custom colors and the weapons there are even better than this mod's like a rocket luancher that automaticly seeks enemys. next mod i will remove all crashes, i already fixed the mine thing but the ai thing i must figure out (probably some memory pool or a hardwired thing in the game...) but when it is done it will be good. i may need gametoast's help with it too. check this site every once in awhile to find it.
