Magic Weapons 2 (1.4) - File Description  

This is an update to somen00b's earlier Magic Weapons 2 mod. Those familiar with it will find a few things changed, but by and large this remains the same.

Just as a heads-up, remember that this mod can cause a lot of .fx to be present on your screen, and a side effect of this may be crashing.

Install Instructions:
1. Copy MG1 to your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon" folder 2. Backup (make a copy of) the original all.lvl and allshell.lvl at
Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\SIDE 3. put the lvl files in "MG1\data\_LVL_PC\SIDE" in the
aformentioned directory say yes when it prompts you to override

Uninstall Instructions:
1. delete the new all.lvl and allshell.lvl 2.restore the oringinal all.lvl and allshell.lvl files
to thier original place and name
2. (optional) delete "MG1 from your "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon" folde

this mod replaces the rebel rocketeer, bothan, spy, rebel marine, Han Solo, Jedi Luke Skywalker (not pilot), Princess Leia,
and Chewbacca with units that use magic.
A more populated version of endor with an easter egg is also included. Custom Hero Assault mode
is included since this mod crashes normal hero assault (too many .combo files).
*the map will work with other side files, it reads the sides from "Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\SIDE",
not from the mod directory*

*The master summoner is no longer in this mod's data, thus magic hoth combat won't have him and may not ever work unless
you have version 1.2 or greater of it. You should get 1.21, it fixes bugs 1.2 had*

Name: Light Shadow Elite/The Master of Light and Shadow (what I'd rename to it if I could)
This unit has as much health as a hero and can hover and sprint like darth vader, It can use magic while hovering.

*note exact weapons may differ but are always combinations of the ones below*

Light Shadow Saber:
a magical weapon of light and shadow, acts like a lightsaber. Caries a spell of protection that is activated with the
block button, crouch and attack to unleash it's full power

Magic Fire:
Magical blue fire that only hurts your enemies and has double the range of the flame thrower

Rainbow Beam:
Shoot balls of rainbow light at enemies *now works like chaingun*

Meteor Storm:
Call a powerful rain of meteors down on your enemies, most effective on groups

Divine Power Caller:
Fire to have divine forces pass judgment on your target, hold for a heavier sentence

True Name: Magical Assassin

Some back story: The original assassin used a magical artifact to duplicate himself, the copies assisted the allience
on the battlefront while the original continued the line of work he is named for. All the cpoies are directly
controlled by the original. (end of backstory)

The assassin may not cross terrain quickly but he makes up for it. His health is a little less the
the master of light and shadow.

Expandable Knife:
The assassin's knife, enlarged to the length of a sword, quickly double tap sprint to do his signature finisher.

Vanishing Spell:
Use this to vanish (turn invisable)

*The assassin can use his knife while invisible, it was unintentional (:*

Arrow Flurry: send a flurry of magic arrows at targets infront of you

Long Range Magic Arrow:
Send a single, powerful, magic arrow at enemies infront of you has a 1.5 second cooldown.

*This unit was originally going to replace pilot luke but I found out that his vanishing spell wouldn't work in that case
so instead of throwing my work away, I had him replace the rebel spy instead*

True name: User of light and shadow
This unit has as much health as a hero.


Sabers Of Light and Shadow:
magical weapons of light and shadow, acts like Aalya's lightsabers. Caries a spell of protection that is activated with
the block button,

Crouch and attack to unleash the sabers full power

Tenku Bridge Summoner: ["heaven bridge summoner" for those who don't know japanese. Because it hypothetically "bridges
the gap and allows you to cross the heavens, or space" This translation may not be 100% right]
Summons a tenku bridge, press E to enter it (it is small and invisible, you might have to look down) it handles like an

*Fixme: When a hanger forcefield is on screen and you are flying it lags.*
*Fixme2: It lags on and off (randomly?), wait and it will stop.

While inside,
press primary fire to strike any ships with in range with lightning. (no lightning if nothing is within range, you might
not see the bolt but you WILL see your score go up if you hit something.)
Press secondary fire to launch light balls (non seeking, too slow to hit ships, use on critical systems)

Land and it will disappear

*Fixed an agrivating bug where enemy AI could steal your tenku bridge, now they ignore it and players can't see it,
it's as good as gone when you get out.*

Rainbow Beam:
Shoot balls of rainbow light at enemies *now works like chaingun* (for auto turrets)

Magic Fire Gem:
Acts like a time bomb but will explode full force if destroyed

*gem's glow has been revamped*

True name: Master of the Storm

The Master of the storm can run a little faster then units that sprint like Darth Vader
(lightning and wind ARE his main elements)

Magic Lightning:
Shoot Lightning in a 359 degree radius around you for as long as you want

Blow a blizzard at your enemies to push them away and do damage (great if there is a pit around) for as long as you want,
can be blocked but not forever.

*This was in earlier versions as well I just forgot to update the description, the old weapon had sky blue air,
this has a white blizzard*

Lightning Caller:
Call lightning down on your enemies hold and release for maximum power

True name: [A] Golem
The Golem is slow but has LOTS of health and it hits hard, it's levitation is unorthodox.

Stone Sword:
A Stone Sword, the golem's strength makes it lethal, jump and attack to come crashing down and crack the ground

True name: Sage of Light
The Sage of Light can't use a sword very well but has powerful magic, she can also hover and sprint like Darth Vader

Plain Sword:
Not very Powerful, Crouch and attack to unleash the power of the light

Rainbow Beam:
Shoot balls of rainbow light at enemies *now works like chaingun*

Light Ball:
Shoot a powerful ball of rainbow light at enemies

Divine Power Caller:
Fire to have divine forces pass judgment on your target, hold for a heavier sentence

True Name: Ifrit
Ifrit is faster then the golem but not as fast as the the hovering units

Volcano Staff:
A Staff made of molten rock, good against vehicles

Fire Breath:
Blow fire at your enemies, has good range

Eruption Caller:
Call forth a small volcanic eruption at the point you look at

xwingguy for script fixes

Vyse for the model used for the sword

Saturn_V for lava textures that made Ifrit's and the Volcano Staff's skins with and the model for the Volcano Staff (I think I am alowed to reskin it, no readme so I don't know)

Syth for telling me why the Magical Assassin's vanishing spell wasn't working (because he was going to be a hero)

the makers of "Tales of Symphonia" for the ideas of Meteor Storm and Divine Power Caller which I copied from them

this is one of my fav map but the thing i didnt like is that its not balance >.>

could u like.....make for empire too......cause......i hate rebels.....xD UR AWSOME

The Hero Assault doesn't work. It doesn't have any CPs to spawn at.

I will investigate, I know I made some changes to remove references to alll_hero_luke_pilot from hero assault after the asassin no longer replaced pilot luke during development. Most likely it's a typo in the LUA. It should be fixed in version 1.41 (The increase in the second digit after the decimal with the first digit remaining the same indicates a minor change or fix from the previous version.)

It turned out I deleted the world LVL that hero assault uses when I tried to reduce the file size. I am uploading a fixed version now. You could try to take the end1.lvl from version 1.3 and put it in the right place if you can't wait.

Did you follow the install instructions? Unlike most mods, there is more to it then just copying MG1 to your addon folder.

in the naboo remake mission can you make the hero summon exact clones as him like a dual saber in stead of 2 sabers and can you make the Master Summoner hero playable as a hero for the swbf2 normal maps with the exact clone power?

dudes...conquest works,but assault,as other said,doesn't have any command posts to spawn at...what is going on?and by the way,i don't see anything in assault only a black...well,black nothing and the hero selection screen... this mod would be something,but until u fix the assault thing,i give it a 1/10Two Thumbs Down!Two Thumbs Down!Two Thumbs Down!
