Here we have version 2.0 of Elfie911's Modern Earth: Urban Assault. All of the bugs that were mentioned in the previous review have now been fixed.

I personally think the battle takes place in too much of a one way strip down the road while off to the side there is nothing but some buildings plus it just makes where the battle does take place a little too crowded. Simply expanding the four way crossing a little would help greatly. If I for one was a prisoner escaping, I would keep off the main road and try to avoid a battle and fight when I run into an enemy. Of course unless its suppose to be a prisoner revolt rather than a breakout and escape that changes everything.

There are some new bugs though. In Zombie mode the National Guards have floating icons but that's not that big of deal. I experienced extreme lag on this mode compared to Conquest mode. Very low Frame Rates made it nearly impossible to play while in Conquest mode it was fine. This is really something that needs to be fixed since it will limit the amount of players able to play this mode. I also noticed that a few buildings were off the ground. And some heroes also have mixed up voices for example when spawning and facing the enemy as a Ninja its kinda awkward continually hearing the name of Boba Fett coming up.

The side balance for Conquest mode I felt was off quite a bit. Even though the National Guards have better weapons the Convicts always seem to go sky high in kills. I'm not sure why its like this unless the National Guards just don't move around as much as the Convicts.

I do like the use of custom models and a fresh idea. Always presenting something in your mod that hasn't been seen before makes people much more interested in it.

I really liked the map and its very unique and creative but I think it still needs some work. Be sure to check out the ReadMe for more info and a list of bug fixes.

This is the Readme for Modern Earth: Urban Assault version 2.0 by elfie. (See below for original Version 1 readme)

--What's new in version 2?
Thanks to Mav's helpful review, Version 2 fixes several major bugs found in the previous version. These bugs are:

1. Freezing caused by award weapons bug --FIXED
2. Unbalanced zombie mode --FIXED
3. "Disapearing" in custom buildings due to them being scaled up --FIXED
4. Not so good prisoner retextures --FIXED

--New Features--
In addition to fixed bugs, version 2 contains several new features. One of the new features is a series of award weapons called "Golden" weapons. If you have ever played CoD4 before, you may know that once you get X number of kills with a specific weapon then you unlock a "Golden" weapon for that category. I have recreated this for battlefront. Here are the list of theGolden Weapons:

AWARD Rifle -----> Golden AK-47
AWARD Shotgun ---> Golden W1200 Shotgun
AWARD Sniper Rifle ----> Golden M24 Sniper Rifle
AWARD Pistol ----> Golden Desert Eagle

As well as award weapons, I have added new features to the zombie side in zombie mode. The zombie lord unit now has a melee weapon, fixed anims, increased health, and zombie strangle so that the mode is more balanced.

This map takes place in an urban city in the middle of the night. Armed convicts have just escaped from a maximum security prison and are reigning chaos and destruction on an earth city. Buildings burn as S.W.A.T units, U.S. National Guard troops (locals), and attack helicopters have been deployed, desperate to regain control of the situation. Take the fight to the streets with all new custom earth weapon models such as the M16, MP5, M4 Carbine, M24 Sniper Rifle, AK-47, Mini-uzi, flamethrowers, Molotov cocktails, grenade launchers, RPG-7s, shotguns, flashbags, poison grenades, C4 Explosives and many more. All new custom effects, sound effects, and dozens of new custom models, such as police cars, trucks, choppers and many new building models are also featured in this map. Don't like shooting convicts? Maybe you'll enjoy shooting zombies in the Zombie Deathmatch mode. Play as the National Guard spawning at a downed helicopter and man a minigun turret. Try and eliminate as many zombies as possible.

--Game Modes--
This map includes 2 game modes each with their own custom loading screen and minimap. The main game mode is the standard conquest with convicts vs. SWAT and National Guard as locals. There are two heroes for either side in this game mode: S.W.C.U (Snow Wolf Commando Unit) for SWAT and a Ninja Assassin for Convicts. It has 4 cps that are widely spread out. The SWAT spawn at a police station and an industrial area and the convicts spawn at the prison and a junkyard. The second gamemode is Zombie DeathMatch that consists of 2 cps, one per team, that are located on only a single quadrant of the map. These cps cannot be captured, due to the fact that this gamemode is a hunt setup. The timer is set at 15minutes with a higher score limit than default hunt. There are two classes for each side on this gamemode, a heavy class and a rifle class.


1. Run the installer
2. Click the icon with the three dots and browse to your addon directory located at default C:ProgramFilesLucasartsStarwarsbattlefront2Gamedata folder. If you do not have an addon folder create one there.
3. Click Extract
4. Play the map.
