Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack Patch (2.2) - File Description  


Description:
This new patch to the popular "Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack" is in response to a number of things that have been mentioned since the release of the Pack in September of last year.

Of course, the 2.2 patch provides a number of bugfixes from the small (first-person views) to the larger (CTDs on certain maps). There have also been several (mostly redundant) modes cut from the Pack in an effort to improve both online and offline stability, as well as make it easier for anyone with the Pack to have more mods installed at once.

There are also a number of additions to the Pack with the 2.2 patch. The largest of these is that this comes packaged with the "lite" version of the 1.3 patch, revision 117. This can be installed directly over your 1.3 patch if you already have it installed, and this will make sure that the Pack is up-to-date with some of the newer functions of the 1.3 patch (like custom Galactic Conquests).

You'll also see things like a new vehicle on Concord Dawn or Kit Fisto showing up on Methlyn in addition to Alderaan. There should be plenty of things to look forward to; make sure you read the readme and the documents the patch comes with, and know that you will need to already have the Conversion Pack 2.0 installed (and working) before you install this patch. Readme File:
Download instructions:

1) You must have Conversion Pack 2.0 installed and working.
2) Autoinstall to "GameData" directory or manually extract to that directory.
3) Confirm correct installation by checking to see if "patch.lvl" and "patch2.lvl" are in the “Star Wars Battlefront IIGameDataaddonBF1data_LVL_PCSIDE” folder.
4) Once properly installed, please read notes and changelist included in “Star Wars Battlefront IIGameDataConPack2.2PatchChanges” folder.

Important note on the ingame HUD (heads-up display) and other components of the 1.3 patch:

As you may be aware, previous versions of the 1.3 patch came complete with a new HUD. You had (and have) the option to disable this HUD. With the installation of the Conversion Pack 2.2 patch, the HUD will be enabled. If you wish to disable this HUD, please note that you are now upgraded to r117 (instead of r83) of the 1.3 patch. You may do all operations on the 1.3 patch (including HUD removal/addition) in the addon folder “AAAv1.3patch.” Please see the 1.3 patch documentation in that folder for more information.

hey i've just found a glitch that i think is caused to this. i was playing space mygeeto with friends and then the aclomator start's going through the cis main ship :O and i also had 2 other glitches. it was quiet funny and i'm pretty sure its due to this since its never happened b4, test it out and see if u get the glitch too stick out tongue

i dont get it... if you can get Kit Fisto in the game then why cant you get Asajj Ventress(with her nunchuk-like saber style)? You put Shaak ti on the floating platforms map and she has that saber style but she only has 1 saber.confusedconfused

Because there's not support for the cord that connects the two sabers in SWBF2. I finished up some assets for that version of Asajj, but I didn't put it into the Conversion Pack because it looks better the way it currently is.

The button combo for the "second" melee combo is just
Primary fire -> Deflect -> Primary Fire -> Primary Fire

If you have deflect mapped to the mouse wheel, then what you said will work. If you have default keymappings, then mouse button 1 -> "F" works too.

I have just been wondering something. I have the convo pack installed, and you get all of the features like campaign, order 66, etc. I was just wondering if there is any way you could make extreme compatible with those.

Because "uber" is still available - and it's just conquest with more units. It didn't make sense to have two conquest modes on the same map, and uber made more sense to keep because it's such a large map.

That doesn't matter; you shouldn't be trying to play between 2.0 and 2.2 regardless. Even if I'd kept the mode, you still would have had issues, because there are changes made between 2.0 and 2.2 (for example, the V-Wing added to Concord Dawn).

Hey, I downloaded this and played it, and it is awesome Rock but some of the force powers (especially KoTOR era force powers) seem to lock the upper animation (and prevent me from saber attacking) until I change the state like by deflecting or rolling. I had that problem once and I fixed it by copying "EnergyDrain = "150"" (or something like that) from Grievous's Rage buff to the buff I was trying to use with a Jedi (Invulnerability)

That is not a bug; it is intentional. What it is is a "cool down time" and it's there to prevent using the same force power over and over and over. You'll notice that after a very short time that power can be used again.

And yes, rotating weapons does allow you to use other abilities sooner than you would have been able to; this still works for the intended purpose of not allowing you to use the same ability over and over.

Overheat does not work, because you can only drain so much energy and it can be used as soon as the energy is back over "0." Believe me when I say I know the best way to do this; I've been using this system for the KotOR Jedi since "Sullust: Jedi Conclave."

Now I'm a little confused confused.
I have used overheat to limit saber throw, push, choke(annihilate), and lightning, and have not had problems... seemed to work fine, but I will not contest that you have more knowledge and experience than me. wink How do you do it anyway? Reload time? Change the combo file somehow?
Sorry if I'm getting too far off topic of the Conversion Pack 2.2. Maybe this belongs in the forums, but I keep getting 404 not found errors...

Don't worry about the forums or messaging right now; they are currently down.

And when I say "it doesn't work," I don't mean to imply that it doesn't physically work - what I mean is it doesn't regulate use the way I'd like. Using the line "CoolDownTime=" regulates exactly how many seconds must elapse between uses, it doesn't depend on an energy recharge rate.

With overheat or energy drain, you can use a move as many times as you want in a row as long as it doesn't pass a certain limit. With cool-down time, it's a lot easier to space your attacks out at variable intervals, based on the power of the attack.

But to each his own - that's simply what I did here. I don't use this for everything, this just worked best for the way I wanted these attacks to perform.

Awsome dud. But one thing I noticed you could fix for the next one. When the TIE Phantom gains speed, it gets closer into view, instead of farther away. It also happens vice-versa when you slow down. If you could fix that that would be great.

Another cool thing would be to add new move combos for jedis. The Luke Skywalker combo is a bit overdone.

ok i have a problem. if i have anything else than just the AAA-v1.3 and the BF1 folders in my addon folder it says i have to many missions. why? it didnt do this before i installed the convo pack patch.

You still had the problem, it just didn't tell you before. The "too many missions" warning means that some of your maps and/or mods will not work, because you have too many of them in the addon folder at one time.

What you need to do is remove some maps/mods from your addon folder (simply moving them to another folder is fine), and then you'll be set to play.

There's also a chance that, if you're running on a Vista computer, you have some maps/mods installed that you don't know about. Click the "compatibility files" tab up top, and you'll see a second addon folder that probably has some maps/mods in it.

Do you have too many missions installed? Have you looked at the Conversion Pack documentation? Please check it out - you may have too many maps/mods installed, or you may be playing at graphical settings too high for the Pack to handle - try medium or lower lighting.

why are map names and all custom stuff in code? for instance, some stuff says "modename.name.hero.assault or something like that, or maps say HAR%S %S or something like that. Hope someone knows what this is all about. confusedCry

sorry. checked the installation guide.txt inside the 1.3 patch folder and followed the steps to fix it. For anyone with this problem: download a battlefrontii.exe that weights less than 8MB, rename it, and put it in the gamedata folder. Launch using the new exe and done! Thanks for a nice modRock

Every time I attempt to select the XL game mode on the Geonosis Spire map in the Clone Wars era, it refuses to do so. Please help.

Also, the normal Geonosis map, the official battlefront 2 map, crashes when selecting uber and clone wars. The error given is FATAL

Could not open MISSIONgeo1c_uber.lvl

Please help.

Many maps like Geonosis in XL/Uber it fails -_- i think its problem from the mod...

I do not know why that is even selectable on the list; just ignore it. You should not find any maps that have both XL and Uber, as they are very similar. Stock Geonosis came with XL mode and it works fine.

Conversion packs don't work! Most of the pack maps crash to the desktop.

if you lower your graphic settings in game they should work as some of the new maps are more graphically challenging for computers than the stock maps...

ok i'm using the vista and i installed the patch and it no worky i mean i sitll see stock unit textures and stock gun meshes but on the convo maps, they have those costum meshes and textures any clue how to fix this? AND I INSTALLED PATCH

The Conversion Pack seems to have trouble loading some of the Classic Conquest maps. They seem to cause the game to crash.

Is there a way to delete the Classic Conquest mode/levels?

I also noticed some missing textures in the map that's like a large arena... I can't think of the name offhand.

By the way thanks for the stupendous mod. Coupled with the v1.3 patch, my Battlefront II experience has improved! (except when the game crashes... wink )

Classic Conquest gives me problems. Before I installed the patch, CC was working perfectly. Now, after I installed the patch, Classic Conquest is a total bust. I would appreciate if someone could help me.

I have already uninstalled the whole game and installed it again. That didn't work.

I found that Jedi Master Shaak Ti is holding her lightsaber backward... Is she suppose to be?? Isn't that Ahsoka Tano in CW era and Galen Malak in Force unleashed, both of them using Shien Combat style...But not Shaak Ti...

However, new saberblock for the Shaak Ti animation is quite interesting and nice..

I just want to say that I'm amazed with the insanely large amount of content that was put into this conversion pack. I made an account on here just to say thanks. The only problem I've experienced is a CTD on Raxus Prime, but that's most likely because I messed up during the installation or something. It's really no big deal, since I have BF 1 anyways. The KoTOR part of the game is why I DLed. smile

I just downloaded this....awesome work, this mod is just incredible!

I am having one small problem and wanted to see if anyone knew what might be the matter. Everything installed fine and the mod seems to run perfectly, but when I play a space map in Team Dogfight mode (where it keeps track of kills), none of the enemy kills or any kills on my side register except those I make myself, so it is impossible to lose. Just curious if anyone else encountered this.

The only thing I wanted most was to see "AI Hero Support" mode working on the new maps and the "WAVE" mode from Dark Times II with other heroes...

This is a must have mod...

The perfect touch to would be inserting few musics from the original Knights of the Old Republic game into Star Wars Battlefront 2 now...

How do you open this? I used WinRAR as the program to open it, but it didn't work.

When I First Dl it was 2 hours then there was an error
i Dl again this time it was 20 hrs
i Dl again and this time it was 35 hrs
then today it was only 15 min MIRACLE!!!!!!

No ears were removed in the making of this patch.

Neither were any eras, but you're right, some game modes were removed. This was mostly because they were redundant - i.e. XL and Uber on the same map - and because there is a limit to the amount of missions that can be loaded into the game. Cutting down on some of these redundant missions helps make sure that more mods can be installed at the same time as the Conversion Pack.

ok, there is not normal thing, if i select classic con in haruun kal, and then quit, then i select mothlyn with classic con again, it crashes at the loading screen, but, if i select normal conquest, it doesnt crash, please fix this in the next patch

the Conversion Pack doesn't do anything to the original maps. whatever happened was caused by something else than this mod.

When I try to play some of the maps (i.e., Concord Dawn), it loads fully but crashes to desktop when it starts. No error message is given. It just...crashes. The patch reduces the number of maps where this is the case but not eliminates them. What causes it? I have 7 but it also happened on Vista.

Great mod right there. I do believe the Old Republic era deserves better models, rather than simple reskins. I mean, models from JKA were ported to BFX, so why not porting KotOR models, too?

Hey everyone, hope ur having a great time with this mod cause i did.

But there's one problem.

On most of the maps that this conversion pack adds, at least in my game, as far as i know, the floor textures are WAY TOO BRIGHT, for example on Methlyn, the grass is just barely green, it's almost completely white, and on Ord Ibanna the sky is simply non existant, you only see a solid white texture, and, while the mod is awesome, it kind of ruins the experience.

Also, on Naboo the Republic IFT tanks don't have textures...

I know it's probably my game, as i've seen many screenshots that have no problems, so im begging you to help me, cause i hate having to set my brightness to 25, specially at night.

I need help on getting around on how to delete certain missions, Im getting the >500 missions error, but I dont want to delete any of the mods Ive added as a whole, however, there are certain maps I dont like, mostly cz Im really bad at too big scenarios frown

Every mod map I have is named like this (ex: ESK somethingsoemthing) I know it's not normal because before my hard drive oddly just died all the mapnames were complete. How can this be fixed?

you have added new units to the bf1 maps, could you maybe add this to the stock maps in bf2?
