Description:
This new patch to the popular "Star Wars Battlefront Conversion Pack" is in response to a number of things that have been mentioned since the release of the Pack in September of last year.
Of course, the 2.2 patch provides a number of bugfixes from the small (first-person views) to the larger (CTDs on certain maps). There have also been several (mostly redundant) modes cut from the Pack in an effort to improve both online and offline stability, as well as make it easier for anyone with the Pack to have more mods installed at once.
There are also a number of additions to the Pack with the 2.2 patch. The largest of these is that this comes packaged with the "lite" version of the 1.3 patch, revision 117. This can be installed directly over your 1.3 patch if you already have it installed, and this will make sure that the Pack is up-to-date with some of the newer functions of the 1.3 patch (like custom Galactic Conquests).
You'll also see things like a new vehicle on Concord Dawn or Kit Fisto showing up on Methlyn in addition to Alderaan. There should be plenty of things to look forward to; make sure you read the readme and the documents the patch comes with, and know that you will need to already have the Conversion Pack 2.0 installed (and working) before you install this patch. Enjoy!

1) You must have Conversion Pack 2.0 installed and working.
2) Autoinstall to "GameData" directory or manually extract to that directory.
3) Confirm correct installation by checking to see if "patch.lvl" and "patch2.lvl" are in the “Star Wars Battlefront IIGameDataaddonBF1data_LVL_PCSIDE” folder.
4) Once properly installed, please read notes and changelist included in “Star Wars Battlefront IIGameDataConPack2.2PatchChanges” folder.
Important note on the ingame HUD (heads-up display) and other components of the 1.3 patch:
As you may be aware, previous versions of the 1.3 patch came complete with a new HUD. You had (and have) the option to disable this HUD. With the installation of the Conversion Pack 2.2 patch, the HUD will be enabled. If you wish to disable this HUD, please note that you are now upgraded to r117 (instead of r83) of the 1.3 patch. You may do all operations on the 1.3 patch (including HUD removal/addition) in the addon folder “AAAv1.3patch.” Please see the 1.3 patch documentation in that folder for more information.

Primary fire -> Deflect -> Primary Fire -> Primary Fire
If you have deflect mapped to the mouse wheel, then what you said will work. If you have default keymappings, then mouse button 1 -> "F" works too. |

Even if I'd kept the mode, you still would have had issues, because there are changes made between 2.0 and 2.2 (for example, the V-Wing added to Concord Dawn). |
kinetosimpetus From: Joined: March 4th, 2009 Posts: 59 | Hey, I downloaded this and played it, and it is awesome but some of the force powers (especially KoTOR era force powers) seem to lock the upper animation (and prevent me from saber attacking) until I change the state like by deflecting or rolling. I had that problem once and I fixed it by copying "EnergyDrain = "150"" (or something like that) from Grievous's Rage buff to the buff I was trying to use with a Jedi (Invulnerability)

Maveritchell (Staff) From: Joined: July 14th, 2007 Posts: 1092 | That is not a bug; it is intentional. What it is is a "cool down time" and it's there to prevent using the same force power over and over and over. You'll notice that after a very short time that power can be used again.
And yes, rotating weapons does allow you to use other abilities sooner than you would have been able to; this still works for the intended purpose of not allowing you to use the same ability over and over. |

I have used overheat to limit saber throw, push, choke(annihilate), and lightning, and have not had problems... seemed to work fine, but I will not contest that you have more knowledge and experience than me. How do you do it anyway? Reload time? Change the combo file somehow?
Sorry if I'm getting too far off topic of the Conversion Pack 2.2. Maybe this belongs in the forums, but I keep getting 404 not found errors... |

And when I say "it doesn't work," I don't mean to imply that it doesn't physically work - what I mean is it doesn't regulate use the way I'd like. Using the line "CoolDownTime=" regulates exactly how many seconds must elapse between uses, it doesn't depend on an energy recharge rate.
With overheat or energy drain, you can use a move as many times as you want in a row as long as it doesn't pass a certain limit. With cool-down time, it's a lot easier to space your attacks out at variable intervals, based on the power of the attack.
But to each his own - that's simply what I did here. I don't use this for everything, this just worked best for the way I wanted these attacks to perform. |

BlueGhosty Joined: March 25th, 2009 Posts: 4 | Awsome dud. But one thing I noticed you could fix for the next one. When the TIE Phantom gains speed, it gets closer into view, instead of farther away. It also happens vice-versa when you slow down. If you could fix that that would be great.
Another cool thing would be to add new move combos for jedis. The Luke Skywalker combo is a bit overdone. |

Maveritchell (Staff) From: Joined: July 14th, 2007 Posts: 1092 | You still had the problem, it just didn't tell you before. The "too many missions" warning means that some of your maps and/or mods will not work, because you have too many of them in the addon folder at one time.
What you need to do is remove some maps/mods from your addon folder (simply moving them to another folder is fine), and then you'll be set to play.
There's also a chance that, if you're running on a Vista computer, you have some maps/mods installed that you don't know about. Click the "compatibility files" tab up top, and you'll see a second addon folder that probably has some maps/mods in it. |

Please check it out - you may have too many maps/mods installed, or you may be playing at graphical settings too high for the Pack to handle - try medium or lower lighting. |

For anyone with this problem: download a battlefrontii.exe that weights less than 8MB, rename it, and put it in the gamedata folder. Launch using the new exe and done! Thanks for a nice mod |

Is there a way to delete the Classic Conquest mode/levels?

I made an account on here just to say thanks. The only problem I've experienced is a CTD on Raxus Prime, but that's most likely because I messed up during the installation or something. Everything installed fine and the mod seems to run perfectly, but when I play a space map in Team Dogfight mode (where it keeps track of kills), none of the enemy kills or any kills on my side register except those I make myself, so it is impossible to lose. Just curious if anyone else encountered this. |

Neither were any eras, but you're right, some game modes were removed. This was mostly because they were redundant - i.e. XL and Uber on the same map - and because there is a limit to the amount of missions that can be loaded into the game. Cutting down on some of these redundant missions helps make sure that more mods can be installed at the same time as the Conversion Pack. |

But there's one problem.
On most of the maps that this conversion pack adds, at least in my game, as far as i know, the floor textures are WAY TOO BRIGHT, for example on Methlyn, the grass is just barely green, it's almost completely white, and on Ord Ibanna the sky is simply non existant, you only see a solid white texture, and, while the mod is awesome, it kind of ruins the experience.
Also, on Naboo the Republic IFT tanks don't have textures...
I know it's probably my game, as i've seen many screenshots that have no problems, so im begging you to help me, cause i hate having to set my brightness to 25, specially at night. |
