This space map, by MetalcoreRancor, is a large flying arena surrounded by... something. I'm honestly not sure what.

In any case, it is very similar thematically and visually to the author's other maps, which is usually a heaping teaspoon of crazy combined with an ounce of odd geometry and a pinch of "please-make-the-textures-and-the-UVs-match-your-models-a-little-better-please."

The experience is one similar to most space maps - there are ships with critical systems and smaller starfighters to assault these with, although the starfighters have some strange weapons on them. Some of them are clever - I liked the "sniper turret" weapon (although it was all too easy to turn around and see your own vessel with it, which breaks the immersion a touch) - and some of them are simply strange (I couldn't figure out why it was I was supposed to be wanting to use the X-Wing's secondary weapon, which seemed to have the effect of shaking my screen and doing damage to me but nothing else).

Anyway, there are a whole group of people to whom this map is more aimed than I, and so to those people I say "tally ho!" Here is the map, below are the screenshots, judge and download as you see fit.

	Readme File: The Rancor Doomstar Finale. Readme: So basically this map was to be a tribute to my series of Rancor Doomstars, but a lot of my ambition fell apart when the station itself wouldn't cooperate with my XSI talents and the insides weren't fly-throughable due to collision issues. Rather then pursue it, I chose to play Star wars the old republic, and this current release is not as finished as I wanted it to be, but it is more about the fact that this project is dedicated to the space community than it is about my own ambitions. They wanted a map to fly around in, so here it is. There are no real models I used from GT that I recall, so if I miss anyone in credits let me know. GCW Assault is Ship Combat mode CW assault is Race mode with Nebula atmosphere Do NOT USE CTF for it is not functional. - Space ships - The ships have been modified with new stats, some have shields and cool new weapon styles. Missiles were removed all except for the Bomber, which has really powerful bombs and missiles. Sidewinder - Primary: Press to fire normal, lasers Secondary: Shotgun-like weapon, press to fire Strike fighter - Primary: Press to fire, lasers + plasma Secondary: Press to turn on shield Medium class fighter - Primary: Press to fire 1 style, Hold down Charge to fire 2nd style Secondary: Press to fire 1 style, Hold down Charge to fire 2nd style Anti-fighter ship - Primary: Press to fire Ion cannon Secondary: Press to fire Timed Gravity mine Sniper ship - Primary: Press to fire 1 style, Hold charge press to fire 2nd style, Secondary: Launch snipe-scout ship with its own firing system Heavy Assault class - Primary: Press to fire 1 style, Hold charge press to fire 2nd style Secondary: Press to fire 1 style, Hold charge press to fire 2nd style. Bomber - Primary: Hold charge press to fire bomb salvo secondary: Press to fire missiles Even though this is a final release it is not a finished map by my standards, I just wanted it to be released so people could enjoy it as is. Enjoy. Credits: I made the structure models in space, other then that everything is standard Pandemic assets. I realy want a rancor side, but each time, my game crashes. Whats wrong?
Can you give me a tutorial on how you did it? Or can you upload a munged rancor side?
